preCICE training banner

In October 5-9, 2026, we are organizing the first online preCICE training, mainly targeting participants in the US, Canada, and Latin America (time: 12–3 pm EDT (UTC-4)) that cannot easily travel to the preCICE Workshop – with the next workshop being in March 2027. Over the span of one week, the training will include elements of the longer training course of the preCICE Workshop, invited talks, and news from the preCICE developers.

Registration

Registration will be available in September. Places will be limited.

Holders of a support license get free registration to the preCICE workshops and trainings.

We are preparing an interactive online event with 3h slots over a week. Preliminary schedule, details might change (all times are EDT (UTC-4)):

    • 12:00-13:00: Introduction to the preCICE and the training course
    • 13:00-15:00: Training course: Basics
  • Tuesday (hands-on):
    • 12:00-14:30: Training course: Implicit coupling
    • 14:30-15:00: General Q&A session
  • Wednesday (talks):
    • 12:00-13:00: News from preCICE
    • 13:00-15:00: User talks
  • Thursday (hands-on):
    • 12:00-15:00: Training course: Data mapping
  • Friday (discussion):
    • 12:00-12:30: General Q&A session
    • 12:30-15:00: In parallel: User support session, Further training
